Telephone and Internet Assistance Programs

Lifeline: Affordable Telephone and Internet Service for Income-Eligible Consumers

Lifeline is a government benefit program that provides discounts on monthly telephone and now Internet service for eligible low-income consumers to help ensure they can connect to the nation’s communications networks, find jobs, access health care services, connect with family and their children’s schools, and call for help in an emergency. Lifeline is supported by the federal Universal Service Fund (USF).

The lifeline discount for phone service allows for unlimited local and inbound calling – however long distance and phone features have additional costs (please call our office for details)

Lifeline discounts can be used for internet instead of voice – and may be used on only one service per household.
