DSL (DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER LINE) INTERNET SERVICE

Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) is a technology that converts an ordinary telephone line into a high speed digital connection from a customer's location to ICTC's central office (CO). Using a DSL subscriber unit to connect to the DSL network will provide the capability of an always on, un-metered, digital connection to the Internet. ICTC can provide a variety of speeds depending on customer requirements. However, the further away from the CO, the lower the obtainable speed. Our equipment is state-of-the-art and will add a new dimension to your internet and web-browsing experience. Give us a call TODAY! DSL internet service is available within many areas of our exchanges. Please call the business office at 1-800-350-9137 for availability in your area.

With DSL internet service you'll experience:

  • The ability to be on the internet and the phone at the same time
  • A dedicated, high-speed connection to send and receive information amazingly fast!
  • No more logging on and off and immediate access to the internet, anytime!
  • A comparable price to having dial-up internet and a second phone line but much better!

Monthly cost for DSL:

  • 512k $39.95
  • 768k $59.95
  • 1 Meg $89.95

There is a $95 installation fee that is waived if you agree to keep the service for a period of one year. The necessary equipment and modem are the responsibility of the customer. DSL does not include the cost of local telephone service.

WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE

Wireless internet connects a home or business to the internet using a radio link between the customer's location and the service provider's facility. Wireless technologies use longer range directional equipment to provide internet service in remote or sparsely populated areas where DSL service is unavailable. An external antenna is required.

ICTC has wireless facilities as follows:

  • Buffalo - Access point to the northeast
  • Tower City - Access points to the northwest, west, and southwest
  • Rogers - Access points to the northwest, west, southwest, east, and southeast

These access points allow ICTC to reach customers with a clear line of site to their location. Trees can and do interfere with the signal so they must be taken into consideration prior to installation. ICTC will typically test for signal strength prior to installation in those locations that may be questionable. The range of the access points is set to 20 miles.

ICTC provides the subscriber module, surge suppressor, router, and power supply to the customer. ICTC maintains ownership of this equipment. The customer must have an Ethernet port available on their computer.

ICTC offers our wireless internet service at the same price as our DSL internet service and up to 1 Meg of bandwidth! A 2 year commitment is required.
